Special Entry for the 2022 Winter Term (with entry to be closed on Sep.25)

* The announcement of course information will be adjusted following announcements from the Central Epidemic Command Center.

* This applies to Chinese language students who have not yet entered the country; it does not apply to the HES or MOFA Scholarship students. Holders of the working permit, residence permit, or Taiwan passport, please do NOT apply.

*The Ministry of Education (MOE) accepts the application of non-scholarship Chinese language students for entry. The MOE must review the application twice before issuing the special entry permit. Please abide by the regulations of the Taiwan government and cooperate with us to facilitate a smooth entry process.

*The government has the right to repatriate foreign nationals at the airport for those who only hold visas as language learners and come to Taiwan without an Overseas Student Entry Permit Certificate.

* According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education, foreign students who enter the country with student visas should not attend school during the three-day of quarantine and four-day self-health management period, and are not allowed to leave their premises unless necessary.

NOTES to students:


  1. Please use our online application systemselect "2022 Winter Term ", and complete the application process before September 25, 2022. 
  2. Students must provide correct personal information, which MTC will report to the Ministry of Education for the subsequent issuance of special entry permits. Do not apply to different language schools at the same time; the Ministry of Education will deny permits.
  3. Foreign students entering under the special programs stipulated by the Ministry of Education must stay in "quarantine hotels" and adopt "1 room for 1 person" in accordance with the quarantine regulations, and are not allowed to return home for quarantine. Those who have submitted a "doctor's certificate" and have special requirements can be isolated in a "2-person, 1-room" method according to the regulations of the command center. (The time needed of quarantine is subject to change according to government regulations) 


  1. Please enter the country according to the date designated by MTC. Any information regarding changes to the entry date must first be submitted to MTC.
  2. Quarantine days: 4 nights (including entry day); the number of quarantine days will be adjusted in accordance with the announcement of the Central Epidemic Command Center.
  3. After arriving in Taiwan, you must keep close contact with MTC and abide by the relevant regulations of the Taiwanese government during the quarantine period.

Here are the fees involved in your study in Taiwan, which are subject to changes.

1.         Quarantine hotel fee: 4nights (including three meals per day), NT$2,500 to NT$3,000 per night.

2.         Quarantine taxi fare: about NT$1,000 (credit card or cash)

3.         Tuition, registration, and accidental insurance fees: 

²   Regular Class A (6-10 students): Winter Term payment (Tuition fee NT$29,100+Registration fee NT$2,500 + Accidental Insurance fee NT$279)

²   Regular Class B (13-20 students): Winter Term payment (Tuition fee NT$21,600+Registration fee NT$2,500 + Accidental Insurance fee NT$279)

²   Intensive Class A (6-9 students): Winter Term payment (Tuition fee NT$39,600+Registration fee NT$2,500+Accidental Insurance fee NT$276)

²   Intensive Class B (13-20 students): Winter Term payment (Tuition fee NT$28,800+Registration fee NT$2,500+Accidental Insurance fee NT$276)

4.         Textbooks and other materials about NT$1,000 for one term (You can purchase them during orientation day the class schedule is announced).

5.         According to government regulations, language students cannot change their visa types during their stay in Taiwan.

6.         Students may only apply for a work permit after studying continuously for more than one year.
